Dr. Sunita Lama is a consultant psychiatrist certified by the Nepal Medical Council, and is also certified in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). Dr. Lama brings together medical training in neuropsychiatry and structured CBT skills, so care can include talk therapy, medicine, or both, depending on what helps you.
How consultations work
The first visit is a conversation, not a test: Dr. Lama listens to what you are going through, asks about your sleep, mood, stress, health and family, explains in plain words what may be happening, and agrees a plan with you. That can include talk therapy (CBT), medicine, or both. We aim for a full conversation rather than a quick prescription-only visit, and you decide with the doctor at each step.
Our psychiatrists assess and treat depression, anxiety, panic attacks, ocd, adult adhd, sleep and insomnia, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, addiction, memory and dementia, autism, stress and burnout, and more. See the full list of services.
